On or about 1960, I purchased fm duPont's discards, a used but operative Marchant, 8-place electric calculator. I never did use it. For for all these passing years, it has rested in my attic. In cleaning out that attic, I found it. It no longer is operative. On the back there is an attached plate which reads, "8D 101604. Has anyone any idea what it may be worth. Is there a market for such a behemouth? Thanks for your help. Ed I

I have a Texas Instruments TI-5340 that's been on my desk in my CPA office since 1987. My original unit gave up the ghost in 2006 after a nearby lightning strike in 2004, and I was able to find another one 3 years ago. Now that unit is starting to do some strange things (calculates fine but prints incorrect numbers). I really love this machine because of the split design (the keyboard is seperate from the main unit) and it prints as fast as most current commercial calculators available today. (I can enter numbers faster than my other 2 TIs still here can take 'em!) Anyone out there have a working one lying around for sale? I'll even consider just the main unit as I'm still using my original keyboard. Feel free to email me at email@example.com Bill Herron
Hello everyone! I'm also looking for a Sanyo icc 808d calculator... If anyone is willing to sell his or can help me find one please drop me a line at: firstname.lastname@example.org thanks!

I have a Sharp EL-81 that was purchased new by my father around 1972. For may years after his death in 1973 I used it and then it stopped working. I have stored it all these years and was wondering if anyone knows of someone who could take a look at it and see if it can be repaired. My guess is that the problem is with the power converter. I would appreciate any help that you can give me. Raymond

Hello! I found your 1997 article of discovery regarding the Troncet/Addiator. I am so glad to find one to whom I may pose my question:I am currently constructing a Mathematical Compendium, and I would that it contain two addiators (Add and Sub of course) and so my question: How do I build a Troncet? I build first with card stock then transfer to wood and brass, do you know of any pictures of a disassembled unit or a working schematic? I hope you can help, as the internet offers so little in the way of real, usable information regarding the construction of ancient (or at least vintage) instrumentationCan you help me with the information necessary to construct a Troncet of my own? Thanks!!

After changing the battery on a Texas Instruments TI-503+, it has a negative image. The background is black and the numbers are white. How do I make the background white and the numbers black?
I have an old (goes without saying!) Comptometer 993s which I lovingly used all those years ago. Electrics still work but the keys are stuck. Anyone know if it can be repaired and if so where? Thanks
